When we find it – we get behind it! Exposure Music Awards® East aims to help talented new artists gain exposure, win new fans and the attention of industry professionals, who could help take you and your music to the next level!

Fan involvement is important in the Best Live! and Best Out of Area Awards, where we think your fans should have their say! Their votes create the shortlist for each of these Awards. Then these and every other Award are judged by our industry panel.

Exposure Music Awards® East Categories

Best Live Award

Best Live! is open to all entrants in the East of England counties (see below for full list). This Award is voted for by music fans online, either here on the EMA® East site, or at tourdates.co.uk – depending on where you submitted your entry. Either way,  your fans get the chance to have their say!

Our industry panel has the final word, judging fan-voted Nominations to find the ultimate winner of EMA® East 2010’s Best Live! Award.

Best Out of Area Award

Best Out of Area! Open to Artists NOT living in Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs/Hunts, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northants, Leicestershires, Warwickshire, Middlesex or Essex.

Music fans vote for Out of Area Nominees online as with Best Live!, so your local fans can have their say, before the judges make the final call!

Song or Track Award Categories

All other categories are judged solely by our industry panel, including an Ivor Novello award winning songwriter, musician and producer; former major label A&R and the head of programming for England’s leading commercial radio station. Find out more here.

Each submission is judged on a number of factors, including the quality of the song or track, its structure, musicianship, originality, lyrical content (if applicable) and delivery.
